Y Flower
Y Flower presents three upward-reaching stems crowned with thick, sunlit blossoms rendered in heavy impasto. Rich, tactile paint builds a sculptural surface against a deep green field, where each yellow bloom—punctuated by a red center—reads as both botanical form and abstract symbol.
The work emphasizes texture and material presence: raised ridges and layered pigment invite touch (from a distance) and reward close inspection. Minimal composition and earthy tones focus attention on growth, resilience, and the quiet architecture of a single plant made monumental.
Look closely to follow the gesture of each branch—how weight, color, and mark-making converge to turn a simple floral motif into a study of persistence and quiet celebration.
Y Flower is an 8” X 10”, in a handmade wood frame painted black.
